Wedding bar work is some of the most rewarding we do. You're there on one of the most important days of a couple's lives — the pressure is real, but so is the privilege.

This North Lincolnshire wedding was a full-day service: welcome drinks on arrival, cocktails through the reception, and a dedicated bar through the evening.

The Brief

The couple wanted a bar that felt personal — not a generic "cocktail bar" they'd seen at every other wedding, but something that reflected them. She loved citrus and floral flavours; he was a whisky drinker. They wanted it to feel elevated but approachable, and they needed strong mocktail options for several guests.

We started with the tasting day four weeks before the wedding, which is where we built the menu together.

The Menu

Welcome Drinks (on arrival)

• Rose & Elderflower Spritz — Elderflower liqueur, rosé wine, Fever-Tree elderflower tonic
• Garden Mocktail — Elderflower cordial, cucumber, lime, sparkling water (non-alcoholic welcome drink)

Signature Cocktails

• The Durham Sour — Bourbon, lemon, honey syrup, egg white, Angostura bitters
• Citrus Garden Martini — Gin, St-Germain elderflower, lemon juice, chilled glass
• Passion Star Martini — Vanilla vodka, passion fruit liqueur, fresh passion fruit, Prosecco shot

Mocktails

• Strawberry Basil Lemonade — Fresh strawberries, basil, lemon, elderflower, sparkling water
• Spiced Apple Cooler — Pressed apple, ginger syrup, cinnamon, lime, soda

The Day

We arrived two hours before guests to set up. Everything from the garnish station to the glassware placement is considered — the bar needs to look as good as it performs.

The welcome drinks were passed on trays as guests arrived. The signature cocktails ran through the reception. We transitioned seamlessly to late-night serves as the evening went on.

The Result

The couple wanted their guests to remember the cocktails. They did.

"I genuinely had multiple people come up and ask where they could hire the barman," the groom told us. That's the Winston's standard.
